Camping · Sightseeing · Real Connection

A 4-night, 5-day group camping experience in Canada’s most beautiful national parks. We pick you up in Vancouver, drive you to a base camp set-up, and from there you spend each day exploring nearby places — lakes, trails, viewpoints, scenic spots — then return to camp every evening for dinner, campfire, and rest.
Four destinations in Summer 2026. You can join one or more:
• Kootenay National Park | July 14–18, 2026
• Waterton Lakes National Park | July 21–25, 2026
• Yoho National Park | August 4–8, 2026
• Banff National Park | August 12–16, 2026
All levels welcome. Our trips are built for community — first-timers, experienced campers, solo travellers, friends, and couples are all part of the group. The pace is comfortable; the activities scale to ability.
Round-trip group transportation from Vancouver is included in your trip price. We meet at a designated pickup point, drive together to the destination, and return to Vancouver at the end of the trip. No driving, no logistics — just show up.
We use a base-camp model. Camp stays put for the full trip; daily we head out together to a nearby destination — a lake, trailhead, scenic drive, or viewpoint — and return to camp each night. Mornings start with breakfast at camp, days are spent exploring, evenings are for dinner, conversation, and the campfire.
In tents at the campground. Tent quantity is limited, so personal tents cannot be guaranteed for everyone — most participants share, typically 2 to 4 people per tent depending on tent size and group composition. Same-gender sharing is the default. If you strongly prefer your own space, let us know at registration and consider bringing your own tent.
Up to 25 participants per trip. Limited spots, first-come, first-served.

No — food is not included. You have two options.
You can bring all your own meals and snacks for the trip. We’ll have a shared cooking area, kitchen gear, and storage you can use ( Personal shopping for food and groceries at the destinations will be on the participants) unless when we pass through a town for a quick coffee stop.
We organize a group meal program where the group cooks and shares meals together. Cost depends on the menu and head count, and is paid separately. Details and sign-up are shared with registered participants — we’ll send the plan after you book your spot so you can decide.
Let us know any allergies or dietary needs at registration. The group food program will do its best to accommodate; if your needs are very specific, bringing your own food is the safest option.
Couple of shared Tents and shared kitchen/camping equipment are part of the trip and provided by us. The exact set-up depends on the destination and the number of participants. Tents are shared (see “Where will we sleep?” above) — if you want a personal tent or extra comfort, you’re welcome to bring your own.
• Sleeping bag (rated for cool mountain nights) and sleeping pad
• Warm layers, rain jacket, daytime outfits
• Hiking shoes or sturdy footwear
• Headlamp or flashlight
• Reusable water bottle

• Daypack for outings
• Personal medications, ID, and any travel documents
A detailed packing list is sent after registration.

Each trip is run by an experienced BCoutdoorz trip leader plus support staff; all trained in group facilitation and outdoor basics. They handle the logistics, daily plan, group decisions, and safety.
Comfortable walking 3–6 km on uneven terrain is plenty. Most days involve light to moderate sightseeing walks; the more demanding outings are optional. All levels welcome.
Power outlets are available in the washroom buildings — useful for charging phones, hair tools, or small electronics. There is no electricity at the tent area itself. Bring a power bank if you want to keep devices topped up between washroom visits.
Coverage in the parks is limited. Expect partial or no service at the campground; full service in town. We go into town daily, so you’ll have regular chances to check in, send messages, and stay connected.
Yes. National Park entry fees are paid separately — either with a Parks Canada Discovery Pass or per visit, which is going to be free or discounted by Parks Canada this year.
Adults (18+) by default. Minors may be considered if accompanied by a parent or guardian — please contact us before booking.
No — pets aren’t allowed on the trip due to shared accommodations, vehicle transport, and park rules.
Mountain weather changes fast — pack layers, rain gear, and warm clothes even in summer. Wildlife (bears, elk, deer) is part of being in the parks; the trip leader will cover safety basics on day one. We follow Parks Canada guidelines closely.
Our base camp is right next to Banff and within walking distance of the townsite. You can stroll into town for coffee, dinner, or a quick errand whenever you like.
Yes — we go into town every day. Each daily outing includes a stop in Banff townsite for last-minute shopping, snacks, gear, water, or anything you may have forgotten—no need to overpack.
