Friday, May 22 — Arrival, Setup & Fundamentals

1:00 – 4:00 PM

Campsite available - check in, parking,  name tags, pitch tents, organize bear-safe food storage, lunch

4:00 – 5:00 PM

Camping & Hiking Fundamentals session  - what to expect, gear walkthrough, trail etiquette, bear awareness,  hydration, layering, blister prevention

5:00 – 9:00 PM

Free time - Alouette Lake beach OR group  circle at camp under battery lanterns. Dinner, music. Optional  stove & lantern demo for anyone who wants it.

9:00 – 10:00 PM

Wind down, brush teeth, prep for tomorrow

10:00 PM – 7:00 AM

Quiet hours (park rule + group rule)

 

Saturday, May 23 — Full Day Out

7:00 – 8:30 AM

Breakfast - camp-stove skills demo

8:30 – 9:00 AM

Pack day-hike bags, Ten Essentials check,  split into 3 hike groups

9:00 – 10:00 AM

FREE Corrective Exercise Session with  Iman Imani — pain-free movement specialist & Asian Games medalist.  Pre-hike warmup for knees, hips, ankles, lower back. All levels welcome.  Bring a mat or towel.

10:00 AM – 2:30 PM

Three Parallel Optional Guided Hikes (Easy /  Moderate / Hard — see options below). All groups return by 2:30 PM.

2:30 – 3:30 PM

Lunch at camp

3:30 – 4:15 PM

Camping 101 (30–45 min) — equipment  walk-through: tents, sleeping bags & pads, stoves, water filters,  headlamps, knife/multitool, first-aid kit. Hands-on — handle every item.

4:15 – 5:00 PM

Free time, change for the beach, water  bottles, snacks

5:00 – 8:00 PM

Beach Block at Alouette Lake South Beach  — swim, paddle, beach games (volleyball, frisbee, kubb). Optional knots &  tarp workshop beach-side.

8:00 – 9:30 PM

Group dinner — hands-on camp-stove  cooking in teams (skillet dishes, foil packs, dutch-oven berry crumble on  stove)

9:30 – 10:00 PM

Short Leave No Trace circle under  lanterns, stargazing

10:00 PM – 7:00 AM

Quiet hours

 

Saturday Guided Hike Options (pick one at registration)

Easy

Lower Gold Creek  Falls Trail, 5.5 km return ~2.5 hr, Flat gravel path, ends at the waterfall

Moderate

Upper Gold Creek  Falls Loop, ~11 km return ~3.5 hr, Forested, gentle climbs, river views

Hard

Evans Peak Trail, ~9.5 km return ~6 hrs, Steep, ~1,000 m gain, bring trekking  poles

Each group has a designated lead + sweep with a radio or whistle. Bring trail lunch.

 

Sunday, May 24 — Pack Up & Send-Off

7:30 – 8:30 AM

Quick breakfast

8:30 – 10:30 AM

Pack camp, dry tents, organize gear

10:30 – 11:00 AM

Group Leave No Trace sweep, photos,  feedback circle

11:00 AM

Featured Guest — Iman Imani

Corrective Exercise & Pain-Free Movement Specialist · Asian Games Medalist

Iman is leading a free 1-hour pre-hike movement session Saturday morning. Open to all levels and abilities, focused on:

•      Pre-hike activation for knees, hips, ankles, and lower back

•      Pain-free movement patterns to protect joints on the trail

•      Simple drills you can take home and use before any outdoor activity

No equipment needed. Bring a mat or towel if you have one.

 

Group Food Program (Optional)

We're running an optional group food program for anyone who'd rather not plan, shop, and cook their own meals. We'll discuss in Telegram group after registration.

If you opt out

Bring your own food, stove or cooking setup, and mess kit. You're still welcome at the group fire-ban-friendly evening cooking demos and can join in for technique even if you're cooking your own meals.

 

What's Included in the Trip Fee

•      2 nights at the Golden Ears group campsite

•      All workshop materials and group gear (rope, tarps, lanterns, first-aid)

•      Group cooking stove

•      Iman Imani's free corrective exercise session

 

What to Bring (Beginner Gear List)

Essentials (we can lend if needed — note on registration)

•      Tent +footprint, sleeping bag (5°C or lower), sleeping pad

•      Headlamp +spare batteries

•      Refillable water bottle (2 L total)

•      Day pack for the hike

•      Mess kit: plate, bowl, mug, utensils

•      Broken-in hiking shoes or trail runners

•      Yoga mat or towel for Saturday morning's corrective exercise session

Clothing (layers — May nights drop to ~5°C)

•      Rain jacket, warm mid-layer (fleece or puffy)

•      Quick-dry pants, hiking socks (2 pairs), warm hat, sun hat

•      Camp shoes/ sandals

•      Swimsuit +beach towel

Personal

•      Sun screen, bug spray, lip balm, personal medications

•      Toiletries, quick-dry towel

•      Reusable bags for trash and wet gear
